Central Oregon has a short growing season. This means we have a short window when the trees and shrubs are green. Therefore, it is important to have a landscape design that will create interest in all four seasons. Conifers and brightly colored branches such as red twig dogwood provide winter color. Spring bulbs such as daffodils and crocus encourage happy thoughts in our cold spring. Burning
Bush or Amur Maple trees provide fall interest. The snow in winter looks great against a back drop of Shevlin or mossy boulders.
